Bespoke Summerhouse
A summerhouse is a great addition to any garden, whether used as a quiet place to escape, or as additional space to entertain during those summer evenings.
Bespoke Garden Designs make every summerhouse to the requirements of our customers in Sutton Coldfield, meaning that you get something truly unique.
Timber Summerhouses
With all of our timber buildings, we offer a full ground-up service. Meaning we can prepare the ground, build the base, then use our landscaping expertise we can build a patio or deck around your new summerhouse.
We couldn't be happier with our new patio and summerhouse Jake and Rachel installed! Our garden is a extremely steep so we were unsure whether our thoughts would be possible, however they provided us various plans and solutions and were extremely patient and understanding.
Once we had confirmed they started on time and them and their team grafted to get it done, having to move three skip loads just to level the ground! The final result is superb, the quality of materials they sourced and the the finish is second to none and at the cost we'd agreed. Thanks guys!

Bespoke Summerhouse FAQs
01.
How much does a bespoke summerhouse cost?
As all of our summerhouses are fully bespoke we don't have a set price, so please get in touch to discuss your project and we will give you a quote!
03.
What wood is best for a summerhouse or cabin?
A treated softwood frame is often best, which can then be clad in any timber or material to suit the rest of the garden.
05.
Can I put a summerhouse on decking?
Yes absolutely, we can build a summerhouse or garden room onto a deck.
07.
What if we don’t have side access?
In the past, we have either gone through the property, applying a lot of protection to the floors and walls, or another alternative is using your neighbour’s access.
09.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Sutton Coldfield and operate within this area most of the time, however we also cover most of the West Midlands depending on the project, including Lichfield and Tamworth.

Again, this does depend on the size and finish of the project, but typically between 3-10 days is the average time it takes us to complete a summerhouse build.
04.
Do I need planning permission for a summerhouse?
Most summerhouses and garden rooms do not require planning permission because they come under the heading of what's called “permitted development”
06.
Will you need access to my house?
No, not at all. We only need access to a tap, and a power supply.
08.
Do you work all year round / is there any time of the year you cannot carry work out?
We do work all year round yes, however during the colder winter months we have to be cautious with certain parts of a project, such as using cement/concrete as we can only do this when temperatures are over 5 degrees.

Do I have to pay for a consultation?
We offer all of our consultations free of charge. This includes a quote, and drawing (if required). For more advanced, and higher budget projects where a 3D CAD design, and detailed planting plan is needed we do charge for this but this is always discussed once we have developed an initial quote.

Do you manage everything during the project?
We manage everything. Labour, skips, design, materials, deliveries, and sub-contractors & specialist trades as and when required. Leaving you to sit back and enjoy watching your ideas come to life!
